The term 'Utility Player' refers to a versatile clinician who handles a wide range of responsibilities, including front desk and reception duties (such as insurance verification and patient registration), back-office care, triage, radiology, curbside labs, and other critical tasks that ensure our clinics run efficiently. The Culture and Team
In addition to the Clinic Management team, our clinicians are supported by the Clinical Operations team, which collaborates with clinics on inventory management, continuing education, and various other tasks to ensure optimal performance. We celebrate successes together through our Employee Engagement Platform, Assembly, maintain open communication with our C-Suite Executives, and stay informed on company updates during our monthly Town Halls. Our People Operations team also regularly sends out open surveys to gather feedback and improve the employee experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Triage patients upon arrival.
- Communicate with the provider when the patient is ready, providing a brief overview of symptoms and any abnormal vitals.
- Document and summarize visits in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (eMDs).
- Assist the provider with procedures and patient care, including splinting, radiology, vaccines, medication administration, phlebotomy, and more.
- Administer and document medications as directed by the provider.
- Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
- Obtain lab samples and follow up with patients once lab results are available.
- Provide patient education at the end of the visit and address any follow-up questions.
- Position patients for radiology procedures and remove any artifacts (training provided by UC4K).
- Handle front office tasks, including insurance verification, patient registration, answering phones, and processing payments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Clinic Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday: 12:00pm 9:00pm
Saturday / Sunday: 9:00am 5:00pm

Requirements:- Genuine passion for working with children
- Recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a Pediatric Office, Pediatric Hospital, or Urgent Care setting for a minimum of 6 months
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, NCMA, RMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a valid Texas license
- BLS certification required (online renewals accepted from the American Heart Association)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA regulations, basic clinical procedures, CLIA-Waived Testing, and EMR software
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
