Job Description & Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing Individual and Business entity returns 
• Includes making any tax adjustment and / or closing entries in bookkeeping software
• Client Communication for missing info / follow up questions
• Assist with extensions and calculating extension payments
• Update asset additions and disposals in Fixed Assets CS and /or Tax Returns
• Prepare loan amortization schedules (TValue5)
• Financial Statement - Review and Troubleshooting
• Complete weekly check-ins with team lead
• Remote (work from home)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience preparing and reviewing tax returns; must include specific experience with all types of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
• Ability to multitask and complete projects ahead of deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self starter who is dedicated to following through on multiple projects and responsibilities
• Tech savvy; should be familiar with navigating numerous cloud-based software programs (e.g. G Suite, Slack, Zoom, Quickbooks Online.
• Ultratax Software experience a plus
• Bookkeeping & QuickBooks experience helpful but not required

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the tax team to prepare and review individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
• Collect necessary information and prepare work papers to firm's' standards
• Prepare financial statements in Quickbooks and adjust journal entries as needed to support the tax returns
• Work with clients on tax projections, tax notice resolution and client communication
