Seasonal Retail Staff Member - Deerfield - Tree House Brewing Company

The Seasonal Retail Staff Member will work closely with our Retail Taproom Manager, Assistant Retail Taproom Managers and the rest of our exceptional team to help make the Tree House experience the best experience the industry has to offer. This opportunity promises an invigorating and exciting environment where good work is done so we always look for flexibility and a sense of humor in addition to other valuable traits like intent, hard work, and good communication skills. This person will provide ultimate support for the Retail Team to help carry out our overall mission to make the best beverages in the world and to serve them in the most friendly and memorable environment possible.

The position is SEASONAL and will be based in Deerfield, MA with the possibility of workdays in other facilities.

As a Seasonal Retail Staff Member, you will be responsible for the following:

• Educating our customers on the history of Tree House, our philosophy, and our beer
• Can packing, can sales, and checkout operation
• Speedy and accurate draft pours with great care for the product
• Flavor profile assessment and the ability to guide customers through their decision-making process with ease and efficiency
• Working and supporting events hosted at Tree House as needed
• Assuring clean facilities / Keg line cleaning weekly
• Organizing and assisting with merchandise inventory including log record keeping
• Tirelessly working to maintain the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at Tree House
• Many other retail related tasks as needed

Application Requirements:

• Relevant experience in a fast-paced retail environment
• Refined and educated beer palate
• Impeccable communication and customer service skills
• Bartending Experience w/TIPS certification strongly preferred
• Able to push, pull, bend, and lift up to 50lbs
• You are self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with a focused and hardworking attitude
• A quick learner who is able to work with minimal or no supervision
• Ability to multitask and work coolly and professionally in time sensitive situations
• You are not afraid to speak your mind and share ideas
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and/or pivot plans quickly in order to coordinate corrective actions needed
• Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail in processing payments
• Understanding and knowledge of the needs of artisan product consumers / broad craft beer knowledge & passion
• Desire to learn about the history of Tree House, our vision, and our beer; longstanding knowledge of Tree House's history and beer archive is a plus
• Flexible schedule and a willingness to work nights and weekends as needed to ensure coverage and that retail needs are met
