About the Job
We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Pool Bartender to join our team! The Pool Bartender is responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable connections and engaging service from the initial greeting to their departure. As a Pool Bartender, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest’s needs while preparing perfect beverages in a timely manner at our outdoor poolside area(s). This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Your Role
- Mix drinks for guests according to standard recipes. Upsell beverages.
- Ensure consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails.
- Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
- Handle all checks and cash according to procedures.
- Offer suggestive selling techniques during service interactions.
- Keep the bar stocked.
- Follow side-work tasks each day and as time allows.
- Uphold cleanliness standards across all workspaces, including but not limited to pool bar area, refrigerators, countertops, bar surfaces, stools, floors, sinks, and storage areas.
- Ensure standards of dress are met each day.
- Prepare garnishes and ensure sufficient stock levels before the onset of business.
- Thoroughly clean and polish all glassware to maintain impeccable presentation.
- Support with clean up around the pool chairs and tables as needed.
- Stay informed about resort amenities, current events, holiday festivities, and menu offerings.
- Setting up and breaking down the pool bar area. Ice well, draft beer cooler, reach in refrigerator, liquor, wine and beer selections.
Marginal Functions
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager on duty.
- Serve cocktails to tables when time permits (Bar top main responsibility).
- Support other departments within Food and Beverage as necessary.
- Arrange and dismantle the bar area as required.
- Execute tasks as directed by supervisors, managers, or directors across various resort areas within the Food and Beverage Department, including but not limited to seating guests, delivering room service, and assisting with banquet functions.
Environment
Outdoors with cement surfaces. Indoors, dimly lit, carpeted, and climate-controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot plates, glasses, and silverware. Outdoors: cement, wood decking, sand, and grass surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of experience in mixology, cocktails, wines, and spirits with the ability to craft high-quality beverages.
- One year restaurant experience.
- A minimum of 21 years of age to meet BAC requirements.
- RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certificate required or must be obtained.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pleasant, outgoing, engaging personality.
- TIPS certified.
- High volume service experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule.

- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
