Seasonal Park Maintenance Supervisor - City of Novi

CITY OF NOVI seeks Seasonal Park Maintenance Supervisors for part time positions charged with athletic field/equipment preparation and repairs, mowing, other lawn services, facility cleaning, and trash removal with knowledge of basic mechanical repair and knowledge of athletic field set up. The Seasonal Parks Supervisor will be responsible and accountable for delegating daily activities to Seasonal Staff as well as general maintenance, cleanup duties, safety checks, and work completion amongst seasonal employees. Prefer applicant acquire Chauffeurs License upon hire.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to operate and maintain vehicles, equipment and hand/power tools
• Ability to lift and carry greater than 50 pounds and have good physical mobility
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in a facility/park maintenance role is required

Salary starting at $16.50/hour or more based on previous experince with up to 37.5 hours per week.

Employees who stay past August 31 will be eligible for a $2.00/hour pay increase for the remainder of the season.

Position duration is end of May until the end of October. All hired laborers will be eligible for rehire in May of 2024 if they meet standards set forth by the department.
