Location: The Inn at Castle Hill, Ipswich, MA
What You’ll Do:
The Role:
As the Housekeeper, you will play an essential role on our Inn team. You are primarily responsible for the upkeep of a 10-room inn operating between April and February, and its cleanliness, laundry duties of bed linens and towels, and monitoring of guestroom and housekeeping supplies.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and be able to commit to 10 to 30 hours per week including weekends and holidays.
Specifically, you’ll:
- Clean bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms including washing and applying linens
- Vacuuming individual guest rooms and public areas of the inn
- Laundering bed linens and towels
- Inventorying cleaning and guest supplies
- Maintaining cleanliness of the inn’s dining and other service areas
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation
This is a seasonal, non-exempt position (10-30 hours/week) reporting directly to the Assistant Innkeeper and Innkeeper.

- Attention to cleanliness
- Positive customer interaction skills
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, but not necessary
Eligibility Criteria:
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays are required; access to a car is necessary.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds required. Must be able to climb stairs (no elevator in the building)
- Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
- A valid driver’s license, as well as a satisfactory driving record as outlined in The Trustees’ driving policy. A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.
