CHINO VALLEY AG CENTER TECH 1
The Yavapai College Agriculture Student Worker must have a good knowledge of plants and fish, be able to effectively care for the greenhouse area, and other areas of the campus including the equine arena. They should like working outdoors and be physically fit. They need communication skills in order to interact with students, staff and the public. Knowledge of computerized control systems for maintaining an automated and controlled environment, good communication skills, basic analytical skills, and attention to detail are preferred. Working towards an Agriculture Degree or Certificate is required. Finally, they should be dependable, able to take direction and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Desktop Service Assistants are the first point of contact for students, staff and faculty seeking technical assistance for college technology issues.
Desktop Service Assistants provide level one technical support over the phone, in person, or by using remote computer utilities. Assistants will also repair, upgrade and replace a wide range of computers and peripheral equipment, including Hewlett Packard printers, PC's and Macintosh computers.They will also assist our Presentation Technology Support Services group with a wide range of presentation technology, audio-visual, and classroom technology equipment, including projectors, document cameras, audio-video equipment, computers, and other elements as required.
FAMILY ENRICHMENT CENTER (FEC) KITCHEN ASSISTANT 1
The FEC Kitchen Assistant will support the FEC by:
- Assisting the FEC Cook in all aspects of meal preparation for 65 children daily

LEARNING CENTER ASSISTANT
The Learning Center Assistant serves as receptionist at the Prescott Learning Center (PLC) in a busy, high traffic area, answering students questions, making referrals to college resources, including faculty offices.Duties will include:
- Scheduling appointments and follow-up calls, making copies and providing general clerical support to several departments housed in the PLC
- Serving as the switchboard operator for the district, providing input for switchboard protocols, updating college directories, tracking call volume data and updating web pages
- Provides computer assistance as needed to students using the various computer programs in the PLC computer lab.
LEARNING CENTER TUTOR 1
Tutors provide academic assistance to registered Yavapai College students. The delivery may be individual, small group, drop-in, or through workshops. Tutors provide a supportive learning environment which fosters academic success for all students.Tutors assist students to better understand course materials, thereby improving their potential for academic success, by employing positive tutoring techniques & critical thinking strategies, and coaching students in effective study techniques. Tutors may also be asked to make suggestions for test preparation, and provide assistance with Blackboard, e-mail, or other learning technology such as MyMathLab, Course Compass, or OWL.
Work locations, schedules, and number of hours may vary based on student need.
Other duties may include: front desk, participating in the development and delivery of workshops, conferring with faculty about course assignments and requirements, promoting program services throughout the campus, maintaining records on student contacts, researching and distributing resources for a particular subject area, creating flyers, and assisting students using the computer lab with MS Office programs.
All tutors are required to earn the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certification as part of their regular duties, and may be required to participate in additional tutor training opportunities.
LIBRARY ASSISTANT 1
Library Assistants will assist the YC Library by:
- Shelving library materials
- Maintaining the condition of library shelves and study areas

MARKETING ASSISTANTThe Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing staff by assisting with:

PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (PAC) STUDENT STAFF
The PAC student staff support the PAC in an effort to provide opportunities for cultural enrichment by one of three assignments listed below:Box OfficeThe Box Office is open during the week and before/during scheduled shows.
- Sell, print, and distribute tickets to a variety of Performing Arts Center events/shows
- Use ticketing software to process and complete ticket sales and purchases for patrons in person, over the phone, and online, with a variety of payment methods (cash, check, credit card, vouchers, gift cards)
- Be the main contact for customer service, communicating event and ticket information to patrons, and troubleshooting transaction issues
Events/HouseProvide assistance to patrons of Performing Arts Center facilities during scheduled events.

Reading Tutors will tutor children at a primary/elementary school within the Prescott Unified School District. Applicants selected for this position will be employed and paid by Yavapai College. As defined by the Department of Education, this position fulfills the definition of community service by serving as a reading tutor for children who are preschool age or are in elementary school.
Reading tutors assist individual students/groups in the classroom with a variety of language arts skills such as reading and writing.
