Scrum Master
A Fortune 50 financial services company in McLean, VA is currently seeking a Scrum Master to support our client remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Support the team rules of Scrum, eliminate impediments and lead the team in efforts for improvement.
- Helps the team embrace agile and SAFe core values, adopt and apply those principles, implement practices, assist the team with the adoption of practices.
- Facilitate the team's progress toward team goals; utilizing the current Program Increment (PI) Objectives as Iteration Goals.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, customers and developers to identify and clarify scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes.
- Support the team's efforts to continuously improve communications and relationships with other delivery teams.
- Represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS).
- Monitor and report on team/program effectiveness.
- Skilled in the use of agile/development tracking tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of project management experience in leading agile projects as a Scrum Master; additional years of experience with other methodologies desirable.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Experience with ADO.
- PMP, CSM and/or PMI-ACP, SAFe Certification.
- Significant experience leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in an Agile environment, to include right-sizing / customizing Agile for and with the teams you have led.
- Hands-on experience implementing Identity and Access Management platforms and tools, especially CyberArk, highly desirable.
- Advanced knowle.dge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Agile principles.
- Advanced presentation software skills.
- Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership.
Desired:
- Advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is desired.
- Experience working with teams leveraging SAFe, LeSS and Nexus frameworks is desired.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Banking/Finance/Investments, familiar with terminology, concepts and business processes and systems is strongly desired.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations is nice to have.
