Scrum Master (Agile/PM/VOD/IPTV)
Rate: $ 58/ hour on W2

We are looking for the best Scrum Master to help drive a hybrid Kanban/Scrum model for Client's advanced video operations team (VIPER Operations).
In this highly visible position, you will be responsible for assisting with and tracking day-to-day team progress, issue identification and resolution (trouble tickets), conducting and facilitating meetings, Agile coaching, and constantly working to ensure your operations team has the best possible conditions to deliver on Sprint goals.
You will work with ops leadership, peer PMs/scrum-masters, Engineering, Program and Product Owners to maintain and prioritize a backlog, evangelizing an ethic of constant improvement while providing formal and informal status reports to your Director and upper management. You will interface with executives as well as talented business and technical leaders across teams.
The ideal candidate has operations and/or Web software development and QA experience. Ability to successfully execute as well as coach a hybrid Kanban/Scrum methodology, while coordinating with parts of the operation that do not cater specifically to Scrum is a requirement.
Experience in a highly accountable industry where KPI measurement and accountability is the norm is a plus. Candidates with prior work experience as a technical SME role is a plus: Web service operations, Web development/QA, IT, "big data Analytics.
This role reports into IP video operations (VIPER Operations).

- 5+ years of Agile or project management experience in a Web software development or QA
- 5+ years proven track record delivering large-scale distributed systems in a complex ecosystem
- 5+ years driving development or operations projects for Web, video on demand, linear TV or IPTV

Key Accountabilities
- Work with a crack team of PMs, support engineers, and enterprise stakeholders to operate, troubleshoot and improve our IP video product.
- Maintain active awareness of the entire Backlog of Operations stories & epics and work closely with domain owners to groom and prioritize.
- Coordinate Kanban/Scrum meetings and artifacts -- Backlog, grooming, planning, standups, retrospectives to facilitate execution sprint-to-sprint
- Work with peer scrum masters to ensure the team's adoption, coaching on methodology to support adoption and execution as needed.
- Provide clear visibility into the Backlog as well as sprint outcomes.
- Confirm or revise processes and tools as needed to support the mission.
- Coordinate post-incident root cause analyses, converting key takeaways and lessons-learned into Backlog stories w/ clear ownership & follow-up.
- Ask insightful questions and leverage team strengths to expose and resolve operational and architectural challenges for video programs.
- Identify, communicate & manage dependencies, risks, & mitigation plans.
- Promote a collaborative environment that fosters creativity & innovation.
- Occasional travel for cross-team meetings, e.g. Backlog grooming.
- Able to establish technical credibility quickly to earn trust and results
- 5+ years of Agile or project management experience in a Web software development or QA
- 5+ years proven track record delivering large-scale distributed systems in a complex ecosystem
- 5+ years driving development or operations projects for Web, video on demand, linear TV or IPTV
- Familiar with ad trafficking systems (Strata, Arris, etc.) and applied specs, SCTE-35 and 130 is a plus
- Proven track record building motivated and collaborative teams
- Able to flourish in a rapidly changing, matrix environment.
- Effective facilitator w/ excellent consensus building skills
- Excellent organizational skills in service to both smooth execution and enterprise-level communications.
- Courageous, assertive and determined to remove impediments
- Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
- Scrum Master, PMP or equivalent certification a plus
- 5-10 years in software, analytics or data driven business operations experience.
- Prior education and/or PM experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar fields a plus.
