About the Job
This will be a Hybrid Role. Requesting local candidates to San Francisco as the role will require the EW to be onsite, in the Lab at least 3 days a week. With remote work being available up to 2 days a week. Schedule will be contingent on workload.
Non Negotiables for the role are: A basic level of pathology/lab experience and Image Analysis Experience.
*** is seeking an Associate Scientist / Scientist to work in the Pathology Lab in the Translational Safety & Bioanalytical Sciences Department in South San Francisco, CA. The Associate Scientist / Scientist will develop and implement image analysis workflows to support portfolio related questions on target expression and preclinical model development.
Responsibilities include:
" Develop and implement Artificial Intelligence-based Image Analysis workflows for histopathology studies.
" Organize and present data, including all documentation in required lab information systems and databases, as well as team communications.
" Development and implementation of histopathology assays including single and multiplex immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays, in situ hybridization (ISH), both colorimetric and fluorescent, and use a variety of imaging modalities.
" Work as part of a cross functional team to provide tissue-based assay development for target qualification, pharmacodynamic and efficacy readouts, and biomarker development.
Basic Qualifications
Master s degree and 4 years scientific experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 6 years scientific experience
OR
PHD Graduates welcome with Image Analysis experience.
Preferred Qualifications
" Bachelors or Masters degree in cellular biology, molecular biology or related discipline.
" Six or more years experience in molecular pathology in an industry setting.
" Significant experience with industry standard image analysis platforms.
" Expertise in documentation, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data generated from tissue-based target expression experiments with a variety of statistical approaches.
" Experience in successful representation of pathology projects at cross-functional team meetings.
" Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
" Excellent communication skills.
