About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Request and handle human and monkey donor blood samples.
- Isolate primary cells from peripheral blood using sterile techniques.
- Set up, maintain, and monitor cell cultures with isolated blood cells.
- Perform cell stimulation or differentiation using test compounds.
- Harvest cells and supernatants for further analysis.
- Conduct ELISA tests to assess effector functions of compounds.
- Utilize flow cytometry and qPCR for advanced cellular analysis.
- Prepare buffers, titrations, and dilutions as needed for experiments.
- Maintain detailed records, analyze experimental data, and present findings.
- Contribute to assay development and optimization efforts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a biochemistry or cell biology laboratory.
- Expertise in primary cell isolation and culture.
- Proficiency with ELISA, in vitro cell assays, and flow cytometry.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques, including sterile techniques, pipetting, and buffer preparation.
- Experience with assay development and qPCR is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A collaborative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic approach to research.
