Responsibilities:
As a Scientist II, you will be expected to:
1. Conduct advanced research and development activities in the field of construction materials and processes.
2. Perform testing and quality control (QC) procedures on construction materials and products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
3. Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment in a wet lab environment.
4. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory activities.
5. Collaborate with other scientists, engineers, and technicians to develop innovative construction solutions.
6. Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
7. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the construction industry.
8. Ensure all work is carried out in a safe, efficient, and ethical manner in accordance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A Master's degree or higher in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in testing, quality control (QC), wet lab operations, and SOP development.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
