Description: Do you have a passion for helping students succeed in school, our client is currently seeking a School Speech Language Pathologist - SLP

Length of Assignment: This is for the upcoming school year, Aug 2024 - June 2025

This job will have the following responsibilities:

To serve as the communication specialist who diagnoses and treats students with speech-language disorders that interfere with the acquisition and performance of academic and/or functional skills which allow the student to benefit from the district’s educational program.
To follow federal, state, and local procedures during the diagnosis, placement, and treatment of students with speech-language disorders.
To work as an integral member of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) team when determining initial/ongoing eligibility, appropriate services, and IEP goals.
To assist and guide classroom teachers and parents in observing, describing, and referring children with suspected speech-language disorders.
To serve as a communication consultant for classroom teachers and ensure that students with speech-language disorders access and progress in their educational environment.
To provide information, support, and counsel to parents and families of students with speech.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the area of speech language pathology or communication disorders.
Valid South Carolina Certification as Speech Language Pathologist.
