School Safety Officer - Part-time 

Are you a current or retired Police or Corrections Officer looking for a part-time job? If so, we are hiring part-time School Safety Officers, (SSO). Located in the Capital District of upstate New York, Cohoes City School District has a total enrollment of over 2,000 students. The mission of the district is to prepare its students for  success in tomorrow's world. With the goal of immersing students in learning to become creative thinkers, life-long learners and effective problem-solvers, the ideal candidate is committed to supporting student academic success.This position for a part-time School Safety Officer is located at Cohoes Middle School; although employment is district-wide.

Part-time SSO’s work Monday through Friday, on a 10-month schedule (September through June) that mirrors the “school” time-off schedule of holidays and recess periods (and snow days!). This is an hourly position; pay rate is $21/hour.
