School Psychologist - Seneca Family of Agencies

The Elementary School Psychologist collaborates with Education for Change charter school students, families, community partners and the school team to remove student barriers to learning and build safe and healthy environments for academic success.

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized testing and observation methods to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, fostering a supportive school environment
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to students' unique needs and goals
• Offer consultation and guidance to school staff on strategies for supporting students' social-emotional development, classroom management, and crisis intervention
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, intervention strategies, and educational placements, ensuring a holistic approach to student support
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on mental health awareness, positive behavior support, and effective communication strategies, fostering understanding and collaboration within the school community
• Stay informed about current research, best practices, and legal regulations related to special education and school psychology, engaging in ongoing professional development to support diverse student populations

• Valid California Pupil Personnel Services credential with advanced specialization in School Psychology
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations; general education curriculum; response to intervention principles; disabilities and appropriate curriculum; behavior management systems
• Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements
• Ability to work as a member of multi-disciplinary team
• Valid California driver's license, insurability through Seneca's automobile policy

• In person school based schedule:
  • Monday to Friday: 8 AM- 4 PM
  • 5 weeks of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 33 paid school break days
• Part-time options available too!

• Starting at $89,095-$103,095 per year, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
  • $2000 sign-on bonus (for new Seneca employees in this position)
