About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and academic success of students. The School Psychologist will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide counseling and intervention services to students with various needs. This position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Interpret assessment results to inform educational planning and support services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create and maintain a supportive school climate.
- Provide training and consultation to school staff on effective strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of behavior intervention plans.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and special education.
Requirements:
- Must be a fully certified School Psychologist in the state of Arizona.
- Valid IVP (Institutional Verification Program) Card.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques, IEP development, and special education laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional disturbances.
- Familiarity with behavioral assessment and intervention strategies.
