School Programs: Our school programs offer engaging activities for young learners, including performances, artmaking, and interpretive experiences. Each year, we serve 15,000 New York City K-12 students and teachers through workshops, tours, performances, and online resources. Our programs integrate the performing arts, media, and humanities, often connecting students with larger initiatives, including performances, festivals, and new works. With the addition of two new black box theaters in 2024, our school programs are poised for exciting growth and expansion.
Position Summary: We are seeking a coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our School Programs, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and objectives. The coordinator will serve as the primary contact for all School Programs inquiries, scheduling, and financial transactions, facilitating activities both in schools, as well as through distance learning.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and implement systems for the administration of school programming.
Maintain effective communication systems for managing school group visits.
Assist with school tours of the Historic Theater when necessary.
Provide administrative support for registration, financial documentation, and programmatic data collection.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance education initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree plus 2-4 years' experience in arts education & administration or related field.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong administrative abilities.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities.
Experience coordinating complex projects within a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual conferencing, and other relevant software.
Understanding of financial transactions and experience with school districts.
This position may operate on a hybrid schedule, with the ability to work remotely 1-2 days per week.
Annual Salary: $50,000
