Position Overview:
- Contract Length: 36 weeks
- Compensation: Up to $63/hour (based on experience)
- Location: York, PA
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students, ensuring individualized plans meet each student's needs.
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy programs to help students develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
- Educate students and their families on therapeutic techniques to be used at home.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification.
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
