About the Organization
Fort Worth Families Forward (F3) is an organization created out of the need for charter school parent voices to be heard. We work with local charter schools to organize families to get out the vote and advocate to create the conditions for more high-quality schools.
The Work
As the School Organizer, you will play a pivotal role in working closely with school campuses to identify, train, and develop parents and families. Your responsibilities will include:
Some responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with school leadership, staff, faculty, families, and students.
- Establish a trusting and supportive culture within the school community.
- Plan and lead regular family engagement events at designated schools.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with parents to understand their concerns and aspirations.
- Create a supportive community of energized parents and families.
- Lead school-based training and informational sessions on advocacy, community organizing, and voter engagement.
- Effectively communicate and convey information to inspire and mobilize parents to take action.
- Train parents to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Enter data regularly to record and track volunteer recruitment and activity.
- Report on and analyze data weekly to evaluate program progress.
- Draft clear and influential communication with families, including flyers and informational handouts.
- Serve as the primary contact for parents and families, delivering a compelling message to inspire action.
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing organizers.
- Manage and mentor teams of parents, providing guidance and support in their roles.

- Strong communication skills to deliver clear and motivating messages to parents and families.

Qualifications
- Strong, crafty, problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong, and effective working relationships.
- Experience and comfort working directly with parents and families of school-age children.
- Comfort with multiple modes of communication, including social and online media tools.
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Access to a reliable form of transportation for commutes between schools in Fort Worth will regularly be necessary.
- Spanish speaking is highly preferred but not required.
- Strong commitment and passion to building political power within your community.
Compensation
Fort Worth Families Forward offers a competitive total compensation package commensurate with experience in a similar position. Our offer will be based on the candidate's skills and experience. As part of that package, F3 provides robust benefits, including an equal 401k match up to 5% of your base salary, employer-paid life and disability insurance, and significant employer contributions towards health insurance plans.
