| Job Purpose: To dependably and safely transport students to and from school. Duties: * Provide safe, dependable and friendly transportation for all students by operating a school bus in accordance with all safety procedures and regulations. * Maintain proper behavior and safety of all students while transporting. * Communicate with manager and dispatcher of any unsafe or inappropriate behavior of students so that necessary actions can be taken to correct it. This is important in order to provide all students with a safe and friendly environment. * Remember, as a school bus driver you are the first person a student sees at the start of their school day as well as the last person at the end of their school day so always be friendly and respectful. You are an important part of their educational experience. Skills/Qualifications: * Must be 21yrs of age or older * Possess a driver's license for at least 3yrs * Be able to successfully pass a background check * Possess or acquire a CDL with P and S endorsements (see additional benefits below) Additional Benefits Available: *Training to acquire your CDL license and all needed endorsements to operate a school bus. *The ability to bring your children to work with you, this benefit has provided a substantial saving to many drivers on childcare costs. |
