SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking an Office Specialist, Principal – Resource Management Center to join our DEPT team. This full-time role will primarily work on-site.
Purpose of this position: Under limited supervision, performs work involving the application of technical expertise, independent judgment and organizational skills in the preparation of specialized operational plans and departmental documents. Uses a variety of computerized programs and information systems to provide administrative support to the department
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates work schedules for all team members on assigned nursing unit(s) complying with all labor contracts and scheduling policies, utilizing the nursing scheduling system
- Maintains work schedules for all team members on assigned nursing unit(s) utilizing the nursing scheduling system including processing shift trades, filling open shifts, and reconciling schedules
- Edits PeopleSoft timecards for all team members on assigned nursing unit(s) and prepares for biweekly payroll
- Performs all defined duties assigned to the Daily Staffer role on all shifts
- Provides orientation and ongoing education to nursing unit team members related to scheduling and payroll systems and policies
- Prepares reports for managers as assigned
- Prepares, files, retrieves, and maintains nursing unit records and documents as assigned
- Provides assistance to nursing unit managers as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three years of office clerical experience
-OR-
- An approved combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years post-secondary education preferred
- Scheduling and/or payroll experience preferred
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Good telephone/communication skills
- Skilled in fostering a positive workplace culture and building inclusive workplace teams
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems and provide instruction on complex processes
- Capable of assisting managers with decisions and activities
- Effective use of all Windows-based applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to appropriately prioritize and carry-out work
- Ability to comfortably and effectively facilitate meetings and feedback sessions
