Scheduling Coordinator - Full-Time 1st Shift - Nye Health Services

About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Scheduling and Management
•Manage campus call-ins, working with campus and nurse leaders for immediate coverage.
•Monitor and fill daily staffing needs and problem solve schedule challenges.
•Manage nursing timekeeping and payroll including routine data entry and time coding.
•Organize and track nursing incentive pay programs including special scheduling needs.
•Complete and print daily census sheets with an accurate, up-to-date schedule.
•Make strategic staffing adjustments to stay within labor budget related to facility census.
Orientation and Training Support
•Prepare orientation schedules for new hires and participate in onboarding processes.
•Participate in retention programs, tracking, and promoting employee engagement.
Administrative and Audit Functions
•Conduct process audits to ensure compliance.
•Track key operational metrics, assisting with retention efforts and essential staffing needs.
•Participate in nursing team interviews to aid in selection and hiring of quality team members.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- CNA or 40-Hour Med. Aide certification preferred, but not required.
- Background in healthcare or senior living is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- High emotional intelligence with an ability to empathize, relate, and set clear boundaries.
- Previous scheduling or timekeeping software experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in email/Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Comfortable with a staffing phone requirement (on-call).
- Strong decision-making skills, ensuring all scheduling needs are met with a proactive approach.
