Position Summary:
The Scheduling Clerk will be required to support the manufacturing scheduling system by gathering and entering data and when required assemble and deliver reports.
Essential Functions:
- Creates and maintains scheduling documents
- Works with Scheduler and performs routing of orders in the plant.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Follows safety methods while handling either product or equipment to avoid injury to yourself or others.
- Reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules
- Conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
- Compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
- Performs other duties, not necessarily outlined above, as assigned.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Computer skills, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel a must.
- Ability to create and maintain documents pertaining to scheduling and material availability.
- Must be able to communicate any variances and have the ability to resolve them.
- Ability to work well with Scheduling, Designers, and Operators.
- Ability to do simple mathematics.
- Must be organized, detail-orientated, and able to work on a flexible schedule.
- Maintain a calendar of full production days as well as partial or non-production days.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively (read/write/speak) in English
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
- Some Technical training and/ or higher education preferred
- Basic math skills.
Work Environment:
While performing the job's essential functions, the employee operates within an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, telephone, printer, photocopier, fax machine, and files paperwork. On occasion, the employee may have to work within a warehouse environment and be exposed to vibration and continuous noise from some manufacturing equipment and forklifts.
Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is required to stand or walk, grasp, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, push/pull, and lift up to 40 pounds, and infrequently lift up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to listen and speak and use his/her hands to operate office equipment, process paperwork, and file.
