We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Scheduler to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling for infrastructure and or aviation projects, and be adept at managing schedules across multiple stakeholders, ensuring project timelines and objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Compliance & Risk Management:
- Review contractor schedules for compliance with project contracts and specifications.
- Identify and analyze risks to project schedules and develop mitigation strategies to address potential delays or issues.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor contractor performance and provide regular updates to project management and stakeholders regarding schedule progress, performance, and potential bottlenecks.
- Evaluate time impacts of delays, change orders, and unforeseen circumstances to assess the impact on the project timeline.
- Schedule Development & Maintenance:
- Develop, maintain, and manage engineering and construction schedules for transmission & distribution projects for both public and investor-owned electric utilities across the U.S.
- Collaborate with Project Management to ensure schedules and costs align using earned value management (EVM) techniques. Develop recovery plans when necessary to keep projects on track.
- Client & Internal Coordination:
- Work closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute project deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Interact directly with clients and internal management to report on schedule status, risks, and progress across a portfolio of distribution projects.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and develop comprehensive schedule and controls reports, including weekly/monthly reports for both client and internal management reviews. Reports may include resource loading analysis, critical path items, and risk analysis.
- Assist the project manager in creating and maintaining project dashboard reports and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor project success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Relevant Professional Licensure/Certifications strongly preferred (e.g., PMP, CCM).
- Experience:
- Junior Level: 0-5 years of scheduling experience.
- Mid-Level: 5-10 years of experience, preferably in supporting active construction projects.
- Senior Level: 15+ years of scheduling experience, including significant exposure to complex, large-scale projects (aviation experience is a plus).
- Software Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other related software tools such as Schedule Analyzer, Claims Digger, etc.
- Strong understanding of scheduling principles and experience in using these tools for project tracking and reporting.
Compensation:
$72k-$167k
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
