SCHEDULER/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

DEPARTMENT: NURSING

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSING

FLSA: NON-EXEMPT

JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Scheduling Coordinator/Adm. Asst. reports to the Director of Nursing and assists nursing staff members with and contributes to the implementation of resident quality care. She/he is responsible for maintaining and reconciling supplies to all nursing units. In addition, she/he assumes the responsibility for sustaining an adequate inventory of nursing forms needed on a day-to-day basis. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, will mail out reference forms on all new employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors phones and logs sick calls.
• Distributes sick and/or call-out list to Director of Nursing, Administrator, and Facility HR Manager.            
• Under the direction of the Facility HR Manager, will work on confirming hours work on time card on a daily basis.
• Informs the DON and Facility HR/PR Manager of problem areas such as failure to punch timecard, excessive tardiness, etc.
• Monitors vacation requests and plans into schedules.
• To comply with the dress code, appearing neatly dressed, well-groomed, etc.    

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
