Scale Technician (Utah Scale Center, an Aldinger Company) - Aldinger Co.

The Role: 

We are seeking a Scale Technician to join our Utah Scale Center team, an Aldinger Company.

Location: Sandy, UT and on-site at various customer sites throughout the Salt Lake Valley area

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

• Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025 

• Inspecting, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing mechanical and electronic weighing equipment. 

• Complete accurate and timely calibrations on customer sites. 

• Working directly with clients throughout the calibration process from the first onsite touch point to completion of the project, including good communication to provide client updates to services needed 

• Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards. 

• Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date. 

• Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 

• Able to lift 50lbs 
• Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time 

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

• Excellent customer service skills 

• Good organizational and prioritization skills 

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record 

• Ability and willingness to travel to customers’ locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley (Ogden to Provo)  

• Ability to obtain CDL class B – company-paid  

Nice to have: 

• Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in metrology gained through education, or professional experience  

• Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment 

• Experience working with Manufacturer's Quality Systems 

• Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields 

• Technical Degree or Certificate 

• Military PMEL Training 

• Metrology experience 

• Experience with IndySoft
