Key Responsibilities
- Generate Loan Opportunities: Utilize your expertise and network to independently source and develop new SBA loan opportunities within your market.
- Manage a Growing Portfolio: Build and oversee a high-quality SBA loan portfolio in the Southeastern region, driving significant growth and profitability.
- Originate SBA Loans: Ensure compliance with all SBA regulations while originating loans that meet both customer needs and bank standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Conduct thorough interviews to assess clients' financial status, creditworthiness, and collateral eligibility, tailoring solutions to their specific needs.
- Streamline the Loan Process: Oversee the entire loan process from origination to closing, ensuring efficiency and a seamless client experience.
- Cross-Sell and Build Relationships: Promote additional bank products and services, fostering long-term client relationships alongside your SBA loan accounts.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with senior management to develop and execute strategies that align with organizational and regional objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of SBA lending, credit analysis, and financial concepts, with the ability to structure complex loans effectively.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated history of self-sourcing and closing SBA loans, with a track record of generating at least $10MM in new loans annually.
- Self-Motivated: Proven ability to work independently, stay results-focused, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the loan process.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Relationship Builder: Proven ability to cross-sell banking products and services, with a focus on relationship-based selling strategies.
Preferred Experience
- SBA Lending Experience: At least 5 years of experience in originating SBA loans, preferably within a community banking environment.
- Relationship Banking: A solid track record of cross-selling bank products while managing and growing a diverse client portfolio.
