SBA Credit Analyst - Univest Financial Corporation

We're hiring a SBA Credit Analyst to join our SBA Lending Team.

Partner with Senior SBA Credit Officer and the SBA Relationship Managers to support the Bank’s SBA Underwriting and loan approval functions.

Primary Roles:

• Review SBA application submissions for completeness and eligibility according to the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Organize relevant financial data and obtain reports necessary for underwriting, such as personal credit reports, real estate valuations, Lexis Nexis, etc.
• Spread and analyze audited, reviewed and company prepared financials in addition to corporate and personal tax returns and personal financial statements.
• Prepare SBA Small and Prescored loans for approval.
• Prepare cash flow charts and determine collateral positions,
• Include required SBA eligibility language in loan approval documents as set forth in SBA SOP,
• Ensure compliance with SBA SOP and Bank Credit Policy.
• Assist with all external SBA file reviews and audits, as well as internal reviews, as necessary.
• Maintain Etran/CAFS system as required to accurately reflect SBA loan structure on the government systems.
• Complete various training assigned by Manager which may be outside normal business hours and off-site.

Performs other responsibilities as required.

Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct.

Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

Knowledge of the US Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending programs and/or other state and federal government guaranteed programs desired, but not required.

Commercial banking experience preferred, including knowledge of traditional C&I, commercial construction, commercial mortgage and SBA program loan structures and commercial loan documentation. 

Skills required or to be developed include: credit risk analysis, financial statement analysis, commercial loan underwriting and succinct business writing.

Strong organizational, analytical and communications skills.

Ability to research government standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SBA program requirements.      

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and nCino.
