Position Summary: 
The Cashier handles all on-site payment transactions for all departments within the dealership.

**This role is part time and will work Saturdays 6:30AM-3PM**

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Accepts cash, credit card and open account payments for all parts invoices and repair orders.
• Works with Counter staff and Service Advisors to ensure accurate and complete payment.
• Issues credit memos for parts and core returns under guidance from the Parts Manager.
• Matches all parts invoices to ensure payment types; CC/Check or open account match.
• Responsible for petty cash /change drawer by completing daily reconciliation and hand-off for pre & post shifts.
• Processes all daily transaction sheets and submits to accounting on a daily basis.
• Maintains physical security of all cash during the assigned shift.
• Provides invoice copies as requested by customers.
• Process credit card deposits for the vehicle sales department as requested.
• Assists with Accounts Payable functions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or required experience:

• High school diplomas or general education degree.
• 1 year of  related or industry experience.
