Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Logistics/EWM Consultant to join a leading petrochemical manufacturing company’s IT team, focusing on the design, implementation, and management of SAP solutions within the Demand to Supply (DtS) area. This position is crucial to enhancing and supporting Warehouse Management (EWM) functionalities and their integration with Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and other logistics functionalities.
The role requires a solid foundation in SAP EWM, including at least one to two full lifecycle implementations, preferably within an S4 HANA environment. The candidate will serve as an expert in the SAP EWM domain, driving operational excellence, ensuring smooth integration, and partnering closely with business stakeholders to implement innovative SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Implementation: Gather requirements, design, implement, and manage SAP Logistics/EWM solutions with a specific focus on integrating with PP-PI and QM functionalities. Ensure that these solutions are operationally sound and aligned with business needs.
- Operational Integration: Oversee the transfer of implemented solutions into operations, ensuring seamless functionality across the enterprise and efficient user adoption.
- Project Management: Lead small to medium-sized projects or specific subprojects within the EWM/MM/WM and integrated functional areas, maintaining close collaboration with business partners and stakeholders in the DtS and RtS workstreams.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation by staying updated on industry trends, market solutions, and best practices to continually enhance SAP solutions and project outcomes.
- Issue Resolution & Support: Provide consulting support for escalated technical issues, offering expertise on both a regional and global scale and ensuring prompt resolution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Actively collaborate with business partners, key users, and cross-functional teams to meet business needs, facilitate requirement gathering, and execute project deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 2 years of experience.
- Implementation Experience: At least 1-2 full lifecycle implementations in SAP Logistics/WM, preferably within the S4 HANA environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP ABAP and/or Java/Web Application Development.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- SAP EWM Expertise: In-depth knowledge of S/4 HANA simple logistics and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) functionality, including Inbound and Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, HU Management, and Production Integration.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Proficiency in identifying and resolving complex technical issues, maintaining a high level of functional competency in EWM standard configuration, and using best practices.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with proven experience in translating technical and business issues into actionable solutions.
- Communication: Excellent ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions across all levels of the organization, including process owners and stakeholders.
- ERP Development: Solid understanding of IT architecture and ERP development, with the ability to contribute effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
