Job Purpose:Improves managerial results by forecasting needs; preparing and providing development programs and learning experiences; developing a management succession plan.Duties: * Forecasts management development needs by studying organization plans and planned restructuring; analyzing management transfers, terminations, dismissals, and planned retirements. * Develops management succession plans by plotting known management reassignments; evaluating performance results and capabilities of subordinates; preparing career development plans. * Attracts and retains management talent by recommending improvements in organization policies and programs. * Improves organization results by developing and planning learning experiences; counseling individual managers; evaluating and improving developmental experiences. * Provides managers with skills and resources by designing and conducting training programs; maintaining a library. * Protects organization's value by keeping management development information confidential. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. * Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Problem Solving, Objectivity, Human Resources Management, Training Management, Retaining Employees, Resolving Conflict, Change Management, Quality Management, Coaching, Process Improvement, Confidentiality
