Summary:
The client is seeking an experienced AVC Lead/Architect proficient in SAP S/4 HANA to support complex product configuration needs and ensure seamless integration across design, engineering, manufacturing, and service processes. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in AVC product modeling, project methodologies, and production strategy customization while staying current with industry practices and innovations.
Core Responsibilities and Expertise:

1. Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) Leadership:
   • Proven experience as an AVC Lead or Architect, capable of designing, implementing, and enhancing product configurators to support seamless configuration processes across product lifecycles.
2. Project Support:
   • Ability to support projects from pre-concept to obsolescence, ensuring continuity in configuration processes and product management.
3. Customization and Production Strategy Support:
   • Experience working with client teams to address varying customization and production strategies:
     • Assemble-to-stock (ATS)
     • Assemble-to-order (ATO)
     • Configure-to-order (CTO)
     • Engineer-to-order (ETO)
   • Proficiency in supporting fixed product features for high-volume production as well as customized builds.
4. Design Discussions and Processes:
   • Involvement in Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (PTP) processes.
   • Expertise in master data setup, intercompany and intracompany transactions, variant pricing, and CTO/MTO product costing.
5. Hands-on Experience:
   • Demonstrated hands-on experience in AVC product modeling on SAP S/4 HANA, showcasing practical skills in configuration and product modeling.
6. Methodology and Analysis:
   • Implementation experience using SAP Activate methodology, specifically in performing FIT/GAP analysis during the Explore phase of a project.
   • Defining VC scope baselines and identifying, documenting, and prioritizing project gaps and additional scope items.
7. BOM Creation:
   • Proficiency in creating bills of materials (BOM) with input from engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams.

8. Complex Product and Platform Support:
   • Providing guidance for complex products and platform-based strategies to improve product development alignment, efficiency, and cross-departmental coordination.
9. Change Management:
   • Experience in initiating and managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), deviations, and handling stop ships.

10. Industry Knowledge:
    • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to variant configuration and product lifecycle management.

• Strong Communication: Ability to lead discussions, work collaboratively with client teams, and convey complex concepts.
• Analytical Skills: Aptitude for analyzing processes and aligning them with client requirements to enhance product configurator efficiency.
• Leadership: Capable of managing change requests, leading projects, and supporting the client's team effectively.
