Job Description Summary:
This position supervises the Sanitation staff and ensures all Safety and Food Safety procedures are observed and followed by Sanitation Associates. Assists Sanitation Manager to ensure equipment is cleaned and sanitized correctly. Ensures Associates are scheduled according to the needs at each location. May require working the night shift during peak seasons.Job Description:
Assists in the supervision of Sanitation staff, including training and development of Forepersons and performance management in compliance with Union contract.
Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure all the equipment in the plant is cleaned and sanitized as required. Assists Sanitation Manager with scheduling of labor.
Monitors general Sanitation operations to ensure work is done according to existing SOP and Procedures.
Assists in updating and generating Policies and Procedures. Assists in keeping records of all related Sanitation activities, including, but not limited to, training, inspections, MSS completion and internal audits.
Participates, implements and provides leadership of the See’s Safety and Food Safety programs.
Maintains communication within Production, Packing, Shipping, and other departments to ensure a good service level and that all departments work as a team to achieve objectives.
Completes special projects as assigned by the department management staff.
Supports implementation of new methods, procedures and systems to improve quality and food safety. Responsible for leading Food Safety and Quality efforts with the designated SQF Practitioner.
Manages operations to comply with all applicable safety, food safety and environmental laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, food safety and quality procedures and standards.
Responsible for execution and adherence to pre-requisite programs as well as food security/defense program.
In the absence of the Sanitation Supervisor, the Sanitation Manager will assume sanitation responsibility.
Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will enhance departmental effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:
Strong people management, communication, motivational, and customer service skills. This position will supervise 40+ people.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required).
Two to five years supervisory experience with a diverse employee population. Supervision in food manufacturing preferred.
Strong mathematical proficiency; excellent PC skills. Familiarity with Safety and Food Safety programs.
Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
This is an evening shift with regular hours from 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM. During the peak holiday season, the shift is 9 PM to 6AM.
Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $70,000- $85,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
