Sanitation and Production Worker - Nesco Resource

Job Description:
The Sanitation and Production Support Specialist will perform a variety of duties across multiple departments to ensure cleanliness, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is critical to maintaining high sanitation standards, supporting production processes, and assisting with facility maintenance and logistics.

• Production Areas:

  • Daily washing of floors and walls in processing, milling, packing, and production lab areas.
  • Periodic cleaning of overhead ducts, sanitation mats, spiral ductwork, and warehouse floors.
  • Trash removal and placement in collection bins.

• Warehouse:

  • Cleaning floors bi-monthly and racks annually.

• Pest Control:

  • Manage the pest control program, conduct inspections, and document findings.
  • Collaborate with third-party pest control contractors.

• Cleaning Inventory:

  • Maintain and monitor cleaning reagents, soap dispensers, sanitizers, and PPE supplies.

• Act as the Sanitation Supervisor to oversee facility sanitation programs.
• Perform weekly sanitation inspections and report findings to the QA Manager.

• Weigh and load ingredients, operate manufacturing equipment, and assist with milling and packing.
• Document equipment cleaning and adhere to hygiene and safety protocols.

• Weigh, pack, and label finished products.

• Assist with unloading containers, loading trucks, and performing shipping/receiving functions.

• Support maintenance projects such as equipment adjustments, filter changes, and machinery relocations.

• Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to written procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Other duties as assigned.
