Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe manufacturing environment.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of sanitation equipment, ensuring it is used correctly and safely.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure sanitation procedures are effective and meet industry standards.
- Train staff on sanitation procedures, equipment use, and quality control measures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to sanitation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing facility to identify potential sanitation issues and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with other department managers to ensure sanitation procedures are integrated into all aspects of manufacturing operations.
- Continually review and update sanitation procedures and practices to reflect changes in regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Respond to sanitation emergencies, coordinating clean-up efforts and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sanitation procedures, issues, and improvements to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sanitation management role in the food manufacturing industry.
- Thorough understanding of sanitation procedures and quality control measures.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining sanitation equipment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to sanitation in the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to train staff on sanitation procedures and equipment use.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify sanitation issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels and present reports to senior management.
- Ability to respond effectively to sanitation emergencies.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Degree in a related field is preferred.
