- Position Type: Contract To Hire
- Location: Syracuse, NY
- Job / Shift time: Sunday - Wednesday 9PM - 7:30 AM
- Sweeps and mops floors, cleans windows; cleans restrooms and fixtures; cleans and maintains lunch and break rooms.
- Strips and waxes tiled floors as required, vacuums, buffs and waxes floors.
- Replace light bulbs as needed.
- Clean offices, including dusting desks and other areas.
- Disposes of trash and operate trash compactor; disposes of cardboard and operate cardboard bailer.
- Assists in moving furniture as required or requested.
- Performs external facility work as required or requested, to include lawn work and snow removal. Ensures sidewalks are kept clear and snow melts is placed along the walkways to keep it safe for anyone who enters or leaves the building.
- Performs pest control activities as required or requested.
- Awareness/knowledge of cGMP standards and their impact on the plant as well as individual departments.
- Work with a team to solve issues.
- Maintain maintenance/cleaning documentation.
- Assists with special projects as required or requested.
- Promotes a safe and harmonious work environment.
- Maintains compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; one or more years previous work experience in a hospital or manufacturing environment or doing sanitation/custodial work.
- Experience working in a production environment, ideally in a light-industrial setting.
- Knowledge and skill in operating various sanitation/custodial equipment.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of and compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations, preferred but not required.
- Skill in handling several tasks at the same time, or within a given time frame.
- Advanced Problem Safety Sensitivity; the ability to recognize a safety issue or potential safety issue.
