Overview:

• In-person
• Location: San Luis Obispo
• Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00AM - 3:00PM
• Salary: $45.00-$50.00 Per Hour
• Start Date: January 6th, 2025

Responsibilities:

• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)

Qualifications:

• Valid California R.N. License
• Bachelor of Arts or higher degree from an accredited college or university
• CPR/BLS certification
• Current negative TB result
• Two years of work experience as a nurse. Prior experience as a school nurse, desirable
• Possession of or eligible for a California credential with an authorization as school nurse
