- Customer Communications & Marketing Automation Execution Lead
- The customer communications and marketing automation execution Lead is responsible for managing and supporting day to day SFMC (Exact Target) customer focused marketing campaigns and communications along with cross-channel notifications including email, SMS, and select website landing pages. This individual will also work with our CRM to trigger automations and operational notifications as projects require. This role will work on full lifecycle of an initiative from requirements through delivery and production support. She/he will work with cross-functional global teams to manage and oversee customer notification development which includes implementing API call triggers to execute communications. She/he will be responsible for the development of email templates, which may include light coding of emails using HTML and CSS, conducting rendering testing across email clients and mobile devices.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to optimize the application. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing customer engagement and providing insights on areas of improvement. This person is also responsible for overseeing any delivery issues and troubleshooting and independently solving basic platform issues leveraging the SFMC resources and support team.
- Manage administration of customer communication campaigns across the cloud, either in each function (email, SMS, Push, Cloud Pages), or leveraging Journey Builder to deliver multi-tpuch communications.
- Oversee complex campaign workflow rules, data validation, and triggers and drive process improvements and innovations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to gather requirements and process flows, including documentation of all features with acceptance criteria.
- Leverage CRM integration to trigger customer communication campaigns and trigger operational communications.
- Ownership of deployment processes including campaign execution.
- Independently work cross-functionally to drive progress and resolve issues
- Key escalation point of contact for troubleshooting / first line of support for stakeholders working on deliverables and encountering errors or technical issues with SFMC or CRM platform.
- Prepare and plan future new functionality and customization or enhancements with users prior to releasing net new functionality.
- Drive platform projects from inception to completion working collaboratively with a cross-functional team
- Support and educate/train our business unit partners on best practices in utilizing SFMC tools.
- Produce, maintain and distribute comprehensive, clear, and accurate user documentation for all processes and operational considerations in the global digital marketing tech stack.
- BS/MS degree in marketing / technology or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years direct experience executing email & SMS campaigns preferably via SFMC (formerly ExactTarget)
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or MS Dynamics to trigger customer notifications.
- Minimum 5 years' experience building email marketing campaigns utilizing, content areas, segmentation, automation, tracking and analytics to make data driven decisions to optimize their email campaigns
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices including CAN-SPAM Laws and deliverability best practice.
- Experience with SQL
- Extremely detail oriented; ensures work is correct before releasing while still meeting deadlines
