Efabless is the world's first platform enabling the creation of custom chips, empowering a global community of developers to collaborate, design, and manufacture their own silicon. ChipIgnite is our innovative program designed to lower barriers to entry for creating custom silicon, now featuring advanced 130nm and new 22nm technologies. It provides a streamlined path to production, including open-source IP, pre-configured design flows, and affordable shuttle access.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Head of Sales to spearhead the growth of our ChipIgnite programs. As the strategic leader and first dedicated sales professional in the organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales vision, driving new business, and laying the foundation for a high-performing sales organization. This is a unique opportunity to build the sales function from the ground up, shape our go-to-market strategy, and have a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, a proven track record in technology sales, and a passion for innovative and disruptive technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the 130nm and 22nm ChipIgnite programs.
- Define sales objectives, KPIs, and metrics aligned with company goals.
- Identify and prioritize target markets and customer segments.
- New Business Development:
- Actively prospect, engage, and close new customers to drive initial revenue growth.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
- Establish strong relationships with key industry players, partners, and stakeholders.
- Sales Operations Setup:
- Design and implement sales processes and tools to support effective sales execution.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling sales collateral and lead generation campaigns.
- Provide customer and market feedback to influence product roadmap and development.
- Market Intelligence:
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Adjust sales strategies based on market insights and emerging opportunities.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and executive team on sales activities and performance.
- Develop sales forecasts and budgets to guide strategic planning.
- Future Team Leadership:
- Plan for future growth by identifying talent needs and strategies for building a sales team.
- Mentor and develop future sales team members to ensure continued success.
- Representation:
- Serve as the face of Efabless and ChipIgnite at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Advocate for the company's vision and solutions to establish market presence.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10+ years of sales experience in the semiconductor or related technology industry.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth, especially as a first sales hire or in a startup environment.
- Experience in both strategic planning and hands-on sales execution.
- Industry Expertise:
- Deep understanding of semiconductor design and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with 130nm and 22nm technologies, ASICs, FPGAs, and IP cores.
- Strategic and Analytical Skills:
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
