The Role
The successful candidate will be an articulate, proactive team player who is very comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast moving environment. Excellent attention to details, experience in customer relations, sales reporting/excel and strong follow-through skills are essential. You will be part of the sales team and will be responsible for managing customer relationships through email, phone and online orders. Additionally, the qualified candidate must be willing and available to travel for trade shows and client visits sporadically throughout the year to support sales efforts and serve clients. The candidate should provide the best customer service experience while maintaining professionalism. If you are interested in a career in jewelry sales, this position will give you the tools and knowledge to develop your skills into an Account Executive sales role.
Responsibilities
- Manages customer calls and servicing existing accounts by processing orders
- Creates proposals for client requests
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
- Resolves customer issues by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
- Performs data entry for sales orders and records in SAP systems
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual analyses.
- Maintains records for customer sales
- Establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years proven knowledge of Microsoft Word & Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to hold a conversation and enjoys building relationships
- Solid math skills and advanced working knowledge of Excel including pivot tables and V-look ups
- Inbound & Outbound customer calls expertise
- Ability to multitask multiple priorities and projects at one time
- Excellent customer service and detailed follow-up skills
- ERP/SAP system experience a plus
- Ability to travel to trade shows and client visits as required and work late hours/weekends during busy season
