Job DescriptionThe Sales & Solutions Engineer will serve as a technical expert and strategic advisor, driving revenue growth by aligning product capabilities with customer needs and delivering tailored solutions. This role collaborates across teams to support the sales process, enhance customer experience, and contribute to product development based on market feedback.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Head of Sales and the sales team to drive sales and revenue by identifying customer needs, consulting on solutions, and showcasing the value of Shiji solutions during sales opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept setups explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
- Collaborate with customers, account executives and the operations team to assess customer needs and determine system requirements.
- Support sales teams in responding to Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) providing technical insights and competitive differentiators.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and webinars to showcase Shiji solutions and engage with potential customers.
- Develop and maintain educational materials, sales tools, and product enablement resources for internal teams.
- Maintain and develop knowledge of products, industry guidelines, and regulations to support sales efforts.
- Provide actionable feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer interactions and emerging market trends to inform product improvements.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and create content for campaigns, blogs, webinars, and other initiatives, ensuring consistency with customer needs and product capabilities.
- Contribute to case studies and success stories by translating customer solutions into compelling narratives that accurately reflect technical features and benefits.
Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology) or a business-related field (e.g., Sales, Marketing); equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales technical consulting, or technical sales roles, with a proven ability to support sales teams and deliver tailored solutions to clients.
- Strong understanding of software solutions, SaaS platforms, and technical consulting processes, with the ability to deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to diverse audiences, including C-level executives.
- Solid knowledge of the hospitality industry and its technology ecosystem (e.g., PMS, POS, CRM, online booking systems).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and a strong understanding of networking, integrations, and security fundamentals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver results in fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.

- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel domestically and to Canada up to 30% of the time.
