Representing some of the best brands in the industry, our client is one of the largest, leading manufacturers of outdoor sports & recreation equipment. They are seeking to hire a Director of Sales responsible for overall productivity and effectiveness of distributors and rep agencies. The Director will direct and support the consistent implementation of key initiatives to secure business development opportunities, increase revenue and promote growth. Always looking for sales talent within the industry, project managers and marketing professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of established distributors within the US
- Grow distributor network with additional agency partners as needed
- Assess current distributor performances and evaluate projections and sales growth
- Maintain and build client relationships; new and existing
- Manage pipelines; sales forecasting in anticipation of meeting revenue objectives and prepare reports
- Evaluate assignments, objectives and sales performance; provide training/coaching as needed
- Develop sales incentives; motivate teams to achieve sales targets
- Define roles and strategies for channel in development an efficient sales team
- Close strategic business opportunities in partnership with distributors
- Develop a thorough knowledge of competitors, trends and developments within the industry
Requirements:
- BS / BA Degree strongly preferred
- Min. 5+ years B2B Sales Management experience managing distributors required
- Experience targeting schools, government (parks and recreation), construction and/or architects required
- Seeking backgrounds related to surfacing, playgrounds, amenities and construction (outdoor), sports, lighting, shading etc.
- Experience hiring independent sales reps and rep agencies
- Excellent presentation skills (small and large groups)
- Documented Sales Success of meeting and achieving sales goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM
- Leadership and Change Management skills
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to travel approx. up to 75%
Offering:
- Base $150,000+ (based on experience)
- Uncapped Commissions based on YOY Growth to $250,000-$300,000
- Bonus Potential based on growth
- Expenses (car allowance + gas)
