We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Permanent Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a hunter mentality, who is passionate about driving sales and has a proven track record in business development within the paper and packaging industry. You will be responsible for managing a territory, prospecting new clients, negotiating contracts and prices, and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where your expertise in commercial printing papers, packaging, and packaging machinery will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
2. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
3. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
4. Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of sales management.
5. Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking.
6. Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales.
7. Consult with clients to understand their business needs and goals, and propose solutions and strategies that meet their objectives.
8. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
9. Collaborate with the team to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Development within the paper and packaging industry.
3. Proven outside sales experience and territory management.
4. Proficient in prospecting and maintaining client relationships.
5. Exceptional contract and price negotiation skills.
6. Strong knowledge of commercial printing papers, packaging, and packaging machinery.
7. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
8. Proficient in Customer Relationship Management and Sales Forecasting.
9. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
10. Self-motivated and able to thrive in a result-driven environment.
11. Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
12. Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
13. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
15. Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
16. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
17. Experience with Sales Cycle Management.
