About the Job
Job Summary:
The Sales Representative strives to achieve growth, and account penetration within an assigned region and/or key accounts by effectively selling the Company's contracted value-added metal stamping and welding services. This person is outgoing with strong communication and interpersonal skills who maintains daily/weekly contacts with new business/accounts/customers. This person maintains full responsibility for developing, cultivating, and managing close relationships with assigned customers and/or new prospects.
The Sales Representative will have a strong business acumen to ensure ODM's profitability is achieved by identifying customers target pricing or obtaining competitor information to help ODM close new business. The Sales Representative will utilize strategic sales methods to identify all buying influencers for each opportunity that ODM decides to bid. It will be the responsibility of the Sales Representative to communicate with management and the cost estimating team a closing strategy for each opportunity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Key account mapping of locations, key contacts, and key account information that will help ODM to further penetrate existing and new customers
- Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and market to new prospective customers
- Cold-Call prospects from Industry Associations, LinkedIn or new leads from the ODM website
- Develop Sales opportunities with new/existing customers
- Penetrate key and targeted accounts
- Collaborate with internal team members to determine the best sales strategy
- Maintain and expand company's prospect database
- Set up and deliver sales presentations on products/services/sales actions
- Represent ODM in a positive and professional manner
- Schedule regular visits to see customers and new prospects, travel as needed
- Strive to achieve KPI's and sales targets as established by the Director of Sales
- Show awareness to ISO 9001/14001/IATF 16949 and obey associated rules, per training
- Use only safe work practices, wear all required PPE on the job
- Report unsafe working conditions to direct supervisor/manager
- Observe and obey company policies, including but not limited to: General ODM Rules, Safety Rules, Code of Conduct / Anti-Bribery / Ethics Escalation
- Observe proprietary rights of ODM and its customer and suppliers at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years sales experience and/or BA in Marketing/Business Admin, or equivalent
- Experience within the Metal Stamping Industry
- Energetic professional with outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities
- High level of PC literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Skilled user of social media
Education & Training:
1-3 month training duration:
- Spend time learning ODM's production, quality, and engineering systems and processes that create value for our customers
- Learn to navigate and post on social media and LinkedIn Navigator
- Learn to properly utilize all Microsoft Office Applications
- Participate in training sessions as directed by ODM Management
