Job Description
A leading manufacturing company specializing in drilling equipment solutions is seeking a Sales Representative to develop new accounts and promote products and services to customers. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with experience in sales and a strong ability to explain technical features and benefits. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the new team member will drive revenue growth by building customer relationships and closing transactions while ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals within assigned territories.

Responsibilities:
- Develop action plans and marketing plans; revise them as necessary.
- Develop new accounts.
- Communicate directly with new and existing customers or clients to explain features and merits of products and services.
- Demonstrate products; provide assistance in the best application of products and salable features.
- Answer all questions concerning a product or service, such as price, credit terms, and durability; make appropriate referrals where required.
- Close transactions and takes orders. May forward orders to manufacturers.
- Submit time and expense reports to management.
- Investigate product/service warranty claims to ensure resolution within organization policies.
- Analyze and interpret records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management.
- Contact prospects and explain features and merits of products or services offered, using persuasive sales techniques.
- Calculate and quote prices and complete sales contracts or forms to record required sales information.
- Coordinate company technical engineering support and services as needed to ascertain customers' needs.
- Call on regular or prospective customers to solicit orders.
- Promote products at trade shows and conferences as needed.
- Travel frequently domestically and occasionally travels internationally.
- Change assigned territory as management directs.
- Perform to standards and sales goals set by management based on assigned geographical area and assigned products.
- Perform task as advised by Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or as deemed sufficient by management
- Minimum of 2-4 years of directly related training and/or experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagrammatic or schedule form
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form
- Able to deal with several abstract and concrete variables; able to compute discount, interest, profit and loss; commission, markup, and selling price; ratio and proportion, and percentage
- Able to calculate surface, volumes, weights, and measures
- Able to calculate variables and formulas; monomials and polynomials; ratio and proportion variables; and square roots and radicals
- Able to calculate plane and solid figures; circumference, area and volume; understand kinds of angles, and properties of pairs of angles
- Willing and able to travel, including internationally and available to work extended hours when required to complete projects on time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, sit, kneel, crawl, see, read, hear, have the physical and mental ability to travel independently and the physical and mental ability to comply with customary workshop, office, job site work environments, safety requirements, and other customary regulations and requirements in these environments
