POSITION SUMMARY:
- Under the general direction of the Manager - Sales Operations, supports the sales process and changes required to satisfy the ever-changing needs of current and prospective customers.
- Works directly with the corporate sales team, regional sales operations directors, and the regional associates to implement all elements of the selling process.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers and implements the process to maintain, update and communicate the prospects database and to support the sales cycle.
- Provides the regional associates and corporate sales teams with a refreshed prospect database in alignment with all necessary information on an annual basis.
- Administers all prospects to all territories throughout the year.
- Administers and changes all sales force performance goals, measures, and weightings on a quarterly basis.
- Prepares recognition program data annually for regional and corporate sales leadership for review and in order to determine top performing sales associates; prepares and communicates monthly sales recognition updates.
- Maintains Sales Map territories for the national and strategic accounts for all business segments.
- Updates Sales Operations Manual.
- Assists and administers the data requirements for a lead generation program.
- Administers and updates all biographical data for the sales force at the national level.
- Supports the national sales meeting planning and coordination.
- Supports the National HealthCare & Exposition planning and coordination.
- Updates profitability, analysis and tracking of customer profitability.
- Administers account planning tracking and provides updates to Senior Vice Presidents.
- Works with the data team to develop customer business reviews.
- Supports customer business review development for the corporate sales team.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Understands retail trends and operating assumptions
- Proven track record of leading large, integrated sales to large customers
- Demonstrated history of operating as a business manager
- Superior analytical skills relative to financial modeling; fluent in profitability calculations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Excellent integration, implementation and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
