Job Description:

The Software QA Engineer will perform advanced computer systems analysis and team collaboration, supporting testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). The role involves planning, analyzing user requirements, and improving existing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
• Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, documenting all issues and results
• Perform manual testing and data validation
• Execute SQL queries for data analysis and manipulation
• Collaborate with development teams to define and implement test case automation
• Execute performance and accessibility testing
• Utilize Selenium and TestNG with Java for test automation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• 7 years of experience testing complex web applications
• 7 years of experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
• 5 years of experience with Database/SQL Language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience with Selenium and TestNG automation
• 3 years of experience with performance testing tools like WAPT Pro, JMeter, etc.
• 2 years of experience with JIRA
• 2 years of experience with Zephyr Scale
