Job Description
Flushing House is a unique Independent Senior Living Community located in the heart of Flushing, Queens. Flushing House is a 2- story community with a rooftop solarium boasting views of New York City. As New York State’s largest not-for-profit senior, Independent Living retirement community, the mission of Flushing House must always come first: To provide a safe, enjoyable and affordable retirement experience for our residents.
Responsibilities-
Develop relationships with qualified referral sources (home care agencies, rehabilitation clinics, doctors, social workers, discharge planners, geriatric care managers) and foster awareness with the regional community.
Generate new leads and manage occupancy and sales goals. Meet monthly sales goals.
Follow up on all leads and update Retirement Home Software Sherpa CRM within a timely basis.
Qualify leads by gathering pertinent information that will assist in understanding the level of each potential resident’s willingness and readiness to move into the community as well as their financial situation to afford to live in the community.
Schedule visits and show the community to potential residents and their loved ones by conducting guided visits and providing information gained from initial contact.
Maintain and update the Flushing House Customer Relationship Management database by recording detailed information and follow up activities with prospective residents and referral sources.
Ensure that the community is ready to welcome new residents for their move-in date.
Collaborate with other departmental leaders with respect to special events such as conferences and Open Houses and related activities that pertain to marketing to the regional community.
Create an environment that prioritizes the mission of the organization and parent company, United Adult Ministries by offering older adults hope through expanding opportunity and practical services to live confidently in today’s world.
Communicate effectively with current residents, prospective residents, family members, loved ones and referral sources through email marketing, direct mail and social media campaigns.
May be asked to update the company website blog, newsletter and online dining menu on a regular basis to ensure up to date information is available to members of the community and prospective residents.
Create content for ads, direct mail campaigns and blogs.
Increase social media presence, followers and reviews.
Schedule and facilitate sales and marketing events.
Attend marketing and sales public events.
Generate monthly marketing reports.

Qualifications:
Experience in independent living or healthcare marketing
Proven track record of closing qualified lads and generating key referral relations
Microsoft Office basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
Familiarity with CRM programs (Sherpa, retirement home software), e-mail marketing (constant contact, Mail Chimp) Website Management (WordPress)
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of Google analytics
Knowledge of social media programs and posting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The position will require some evening and weekend hours.

Education:
To qualify you must have a BA or BS in liberal arts, marketing or communications with a minimum of 2-5 years marketing, sales or advertising experience
