Our client is a world leader that provides digital communication solutions and network services. They are seeking to hire a Sales Manager responsible for managing a new business development sales team, assessing sales strategies and meeting/exceeding sales goals. The ideal Sales Manager must have experience selling a solution-based sale and a consultative selling approach. Candidates coming from experience within Public Relations and/or Investor Relations will be considered.
Role must report to the NYC office 3 days/week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a sales team (new business development)
- Ensure all sales goals are met and/or exceeded
- Create and implement strategic sales plans, promote sales growth
- Evaluate account management activity for team and sales performance; ensuring sales quotas/goals are met
- Provide sales and product training and sales development as needed
- Identify strategies to support account management activities
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Keep well-informed of products/solutions, industry trends and new developments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Min. 2+ years of Sales Management experience (new business development team)
- Min. 5-7+ years Software Sales within Public Relations and/or Investor Relations required
- Experience selling a digital platform, PR and/or IR required
- Proven success in managing, training and mentoring a sales team
- Documented Sales Success of meeting and achieving sales goals
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM
- Ability to travel as needed within territory
Offering:
- Base Salary $120,000+ (based on experience)
- Year 1 @ plan $185,000+
