US Sales Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales with a specialized focus on driving sales growth and developing new markets, expanding existing customer relationships, sales team development and management and system optimization. We are a high-tech contract manufacturer with a core competency in laser cutting. We manufacture metal components and sub-assemblies, utilizing state-of-the-art lasers, robotics and precision press brakes. We pride ourselves in having the structure and processes of a large OEM, but with the nimbleness and flexibility to adjust resources as needed. We offer a base salary range of $135,000 - $165,000 and a generous bonus plan yielding a realistic first year total earnings range of $170,000 - $195,000. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the senior sales and marketing leadership, fiscal planning, setting strategy and attaining targets. Also responsible for establishing sales territories and goals, sales, training and market research.
- This leader is a member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the President, and is responsible for management and direction of the Sales staff, achieving performance metrics, expense and revenue management, and compliance with established safety standards and government regulations.
- Analyzes market potential and develops and implements plans to achieve maximum penetration in the marketplace.
- Monitors competitive activity and provides feedback to leadership.
- Has thorough understanding of and fully leverages the OEM side of the business.
- Sets strategy based on customer business drivers to increase market share for products and services.
- Oversees and directs annual Shows, General Sales Meetings and DSM Meetings, etc.
- Develops and fosters trusting relationships with customers.
- Directly manages major and critical developing customer accounts.
- Accountable for building and leading the strategy for training and development of the sales staff.
- Leads and directs all aspects of sales and marketing performance, adjusting activities to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Attains targeted profit margins as determined by business goals; increases sales growth with acceptable levels of gross margins.
- Collaborates and leads sales leadership in presenting major proposals to key customers.
- Provides expertise and assistance in the solicitation of new or prospective business by participating in meetings and other activities to help build customer relations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Implement data-driven approaches to analyze sales performance and continuously improve results.
- Travel expected 50% or greater.
- Work remotely.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a sales leadership role.
- Proven success in developing and scaling high-performing sales teams.
- Expertise in designing and implementing effective sales processes and systems.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of Industrial Processes: Understanding of metal fabrication processes and OEM industry operations is crucial. Experience in selling products or services within these contexts will be a significant advantage.
- Valid driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications:
- Metal Fabrication or OEM Industry Experience: A strong preference for candidates with a background in metal fabrication or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) industries. Familiarity with the unique challenges and dynamics of these sectors is highly desirable.
